Level I/II/III help Desk support for Windows/Macintosh computers for a media company. Including using SAMBA/CIFS/CUPS/VMware/Filemaker services for non windows clients.

Accomplishments:
Achieved a SSO integration with Macintosh computers in an AD environment, and other authentication procedures.
Was the sole responsibility for enterprise (5 locations) backup. Designed, configured, administered disaster recovery program. Set up servers used in disaster recovery process. Used Retrospect/Veritas (including Veritas Volume Manager and other components) in a distributed environment. Used robotic tape libraries, and also saved to disk to minimize loss. Cooperated with Iron Mountain for off-site data storage.
Optimized/designed RAID systems including Xserve, Dell, & Heritage RAID solutions. Expertise in SAN technology. Understanding of Storage Vendors EMC, Netapp, McData/Brocade and Cisco. Upgraded network infrastructure to run at a Native 2003 server level. Required upgrading some of the custom software that was in use in the company. Responsible for creating plan for upgrading to Exchange 2007, and was testing upgrade scenarios when I left. Had a Exchange 2007 running in a VM environment since we had no lab to test it in.
Security Administrator duties as well. Standardized security violations by applying GPOs to servers, workstations. Audited logs and maintained close watch on the DMZ. Closed the open relay on our mail server, and implemented the principle of least privilege.
Monitored system/network resources with Nagios, Snare, LanDesk, SMS, MOM, using SSH and configured SSL for company email resources. Submitted proposal for upgrade to a PKI to supervisor
Responsible for TBs of online storage and backup in a ISCSI and Fiber Channel environment. Had to configure WWN, luns, masking and other FC variables to ensure proper operation. Researched and provided justification for increasing our SAN/NAS configuration.
Responsible for assisting development department and solving issues with web-server based technologies. Including Boot Camp, CVS, IIS both locally and remote, Apache, Dreamweaver, Golive, and some light programming issues. Also taught how to convert files to flash, QT, WMV, real audio and other formats. Taught automation utilities in Windows/Macintosh OS such as batch files, applescripts, and automator.
Responsible for Solaris 9 Oracle databases on Sunsparc hardware.
Configured BSD/Unix for OpenLDAP and configured cross realm authentication to provide authentication to resources for non-unix systems.

I have updated firmware, the Cisco IOS, configured routers for multi-casting, set routes/vlans/bridging, integrated Cisco bought vendors into Cisco infrastructure. Used a variety of Linksys hardware as well. Used multiple OS and protocols and fixed issues with them. For example, Appletalk can create phantom resources and fixed that issue by turning off the spanning tree protocol. Expert in making adjustments to client OS such as Linux/Mac to work optimally with Cisco infrastructure.

Accomplishments:
Responsible all non windows services/budget. Negotiated all Mac client and server issues. Connected Apple computers into a Novell/Active Directory infrastructure using Prosoft’s Client for Macintosh. Also rolled out the Citrix client for Apple computers, including certifying it in the environment.
Responsible for the network security of all Apple computers. Created security standards, applied patches, rolled out anti-virus programs, and educated users about best security practices.
