Description:
Overview
This position will be responsible for day to day management of Opics source code. This includes backup processes and procedures as well as daily builds across multiple product versions. New processes and procedures need to be created and automated to limit the amount of potential errors when delivering software to our clients.
The Role
This position will:
* Validate integrity of daily source code backups.
* Be responsible for daily builds across multiple product versions.
* Be responsible for merging code across multiple versions and resolving conflicts with development.
* Produce program specifications for new automated processes and procedures.
* Be involved in design discussions for new programs.
* Accurately estimate effort for self and others, and agree schedules with manager.
* Code and unit test software.
* Create and maintain appropriate documentation.
* Deliver software to internal / external client.
* Provide support for delivered software.
* Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements, using appropriate processes.
* Consider impact of any change on the system/product as a whole.
* Escalate issues in a timely fashion.
* Closely liaise with manager, keeping them informed of progress.
