Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
* 10+ years design and programming experience.
* Experience in the following languages:
o Programming language in C++ , Java and XML
o Scripting language in Shell and Perl
o Object-Oriented design and programming
o TCP/IP and multicast protocol
o Multi-threaded programming
* Strong knowledge of Linux and Solaris Operating Systems.
* Must have knowledge in Market Data feed and trading experience. For example: ECN feed, Nasdaq and NYSE.
* Experience in using tools such as ClearCase, Purity and CVS.
* Proven ability to carry technical vision and provide technical leadership.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong set of problem solving and analytical skills.
* A strong sense of process, detail and follow-through.
* Ability to multi-task across problems domains and various contexts.
* Ability to work effectively in a team or work independently.
Minimum Education, Certification, Training:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Information Systems is required.
* A Master's degree is preferred.

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Software Engineering team in the Trading and Data Group. The Senior Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for leading a group of developers and providing production support for the market data applications.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Supervise/Mentor a group of developers
* Design and develop market data applications.
* Provide production support for market data platform for Active Trader.
* Maintain and enhance existing market data applications, Quote Server, exchange market data feed, Time and Sales and Chart Server
* Work with project management team on project schedule
* Interface with product team to gather requirements. |
