Responsibilities
Duties include resolving all support tickets regarding the hardware and software of the 400 Windows 2003/2000 Intel-based servers in the Data Center of TRW North American Head Quarters. Tasks also involve the use of VMWare 1.3.1 Virtual Server, MS Virtual Server 2005, and documentation in support of QS 9000 goals.
Active Directory support including Account Administration and Domain integration of WinNT 4.0 and 2000 domains. This involved creating two test forests, one 2000 and one 2003, and test creating forest trusts and forest integration.
Citrix Presentation Server 4 support, and remote support of client offices. Support also involved working with Network Admins in regards to issues that may involve network infrastructure such as a Cisco load balancing switch, or cabling. Administration responsibilities utilized the following software:

Responsibilities
Enterprise wide support for Web Farm severs (approx 1000 servers). Responsibilities included support for Windows 2000 and 2003 Server, involving VMWare Virtual Server IIS 5.0 and 6.0, OS Patch management, Cluster and Network Load Balancing, Image builds and post check configurations, SAN and storage support along with connectivity.
Most operating system images and application installas and software updates were administered via VB and ASP scripts which I did not write myself but I had access to these files in order view and troubleshoot issues.
The VMWare had a Linux ESX server used for allocating resources. I became further aware of how this system is utilized while working in this environment.

Responsiblities
This role requires a high level of customer service and task management while acting as the single local point of contact for hands-on support, and management of a 120 PC LAN. The Network Analyst communicates the progress of projects to HQ supervisors located in Dallas, TX while managing projects, and supporting the maintenance and asset management of the LANs 16 Dell PowerEdge servers and 120 PCs. The PC network connectivity support demands trouble-shooting knowledge of physical media such as cabling, NICs and wireless support, PC Hardware and also of TCP/IP protocols. Backend support involved understanding the functionality of switches, routers and WANs as well as supporting Windows 2003/2000 Server and Citrix Server.
The Backend maintenance/projects include:
Professional level of ownership in resolving network connectivity issues.
Prompt Windows Server 2000 and 2003 issue response and maintenance, i.e. server outages, RAID support, firmware and driver updates, and managing server antivirus and OS updates including the installation of Windows Software Update Services and the use of Group Policy for updates and implementing security.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
10 years performing IT support and administration involving both LAN and WAN environments.
Small, Medium Corporate, and Enterprise level support of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2000, and NT4. This experience has most recently been gained during my current assignments and also at TRW, Ford, Microsoft, Alliance Data Systems, Atlas DMT, and at Publicis USA (Please see below for each instance). This has involved Microsoft system administration of Active Directory network resources, including the use of Group Policy. Support experience has also included of Citrix Presentation Server, proxy server, IIS support, electronic mail, file and share permissions, as well as for Veritas Backup Exec 8.6 10, Symantec Backup Exec 10d, and Windows SUS (Software Update Services) Server for patch management.
My experience providing support for network issues as well as server support was performed at TRW, Ford, Alliance Data Systems, Ford and Microsoft. This has also provided me with a practical understanding security and various security concepts, including firewalls (WatchGuard Firebox) and proxy configuration, perimeter defenses as well as internal security best practices. This recently includes support for Symantec System Center v. 10.
