Technical Support for Prime, a Rating and Billing System (2007 – 2008)
Provided DB2 technical support, which included modifying DB2 structures and SQL, testing support, improving performance and implementing changes into production.
• Provided DB2 knowledge and advice to technical
peers, which improved their coding.
• Worked with Business Partners to identify DB2
structure changes to meet their needs and
followed these changes into production.
• Optimized DB2 performance for both batch
COBOL and online COBOL/CICS programs by
modifying the SQL code resulting in less CPU
usage and expense.

explain table to research how the DB2 tables
were being accessed in order to determine where
improvements in performance could be made.
• Maintained the integrity of the related DB2 tables.

approval in the testing stage libraries.
