Trainee Test Engineer Century Infotech Systems, Kolhapur, India 06/07 – 12/07
Automation of regression testing for Sales Order Management Systems
This project involved designing several forms to process sales orders, update new products and prices, and
update the customer information, preparation of Invoices and a menu to navigate to all these forms.
• Participated in requirement and design walkthroughs.
• Assisted in developing test plan and test strategy for unit and integration level
• Performed manual testing on different modules of the application.
• Scripted through TSL for the cases written, review the scripts written by team members, create compiled
modules and functions in Win Runner.
• Integrated test scripts written for individual units.
• Analyzed and wrote detailed specifications and test requirements using Test Director.
• Provided a weekly project report that included test metrics and status reports.
Trainee Engineer, Tata Motors, Pune, India 08/03 – 09/04
My responsibilities involved inventory optimization and planning using SAP MM, PM, PP functional module to
execute functions like procurement, scheduling production and maintenance etc.
• Assess technical specifications for electronic devices and instruments to be procured
• Assit in preparing production schedules using SAP PP module
• Process procurement transactions using SAP MM, prepare scheduled maintenance plan using SAP PM
Academic Projects:
Graduate Class Project: IPv6 conformance and performance testing
Study various migration techniques of IPv6 protocol and simulate and test network for delay, throughput,
variable length packet and fixed length packet. OPNET was used to
• Developed a virtual network of Cisco 7200 series routers, Ethernet links, and work stations using OPNET
• Configured component attributes like supported protocols (IGP, RIP, IPv6/IPv4), IP address allocation,
IPv6 transition mechanism (configured tunneling, dual stack, automatic tunneling)
• Test simulated network connectivity with ICMPv6/v4 pings
• Generate packets (variable/fixed size, TCP/VoIP) and test network for performance
• Test latency of network for various transition mechanisms
Graduate Class Project: Network Security and Analysis
A situation was simulated virtually using SecondLife where a team of 5 hackers have attacked a network for
identity theft purpose. I was part of a two member team of forensic analysts tasked with investigating who
hackers are and at same time tackle future attacks being planned by hackers for subsequent identity thefts
and to prevent our investigation. I was responsible for following:
• Generate security certificates for authorized person using OpenSSL on Ubuntu OS
• Transfer certificates through SSH
• Investigate encrypted video, audio, and chat messages, and stereographic images
• Decrypt captured messages using OpenSSL RSA algorithm
• TCP, HTTP, SIP, UDP, and RIP Packet capture from network being hacked using Wireshark
• Monitor network for DoS (Denial-of-Service) attack
• Identify and revoke unauthorized use of security certificates
Graduate Class Research Project: Email as a service cloud
Design of secure email as a cloud service for various applications
• Study of the system vulnerabilities and requirements.
• Determine the system protocols and security measures to undertake.
• Securing Network infrastructure by setting the firewall and IDS rule sets.
• Secure mail server and contents by securing access, malware scanning, content filtering.
• Incorporate various application like mobile, social networks and location aware in to cloud
Class Research project: Link design of VSAT systems
Link designed for VSAT systems for different scenarios - financial network, Rural communication, and
internet via VSAT.
• Determine user requirements like site or location of the application carrier and return link data rates,
• Designed link considering satellite location, access (DA-TDMA/SCPC DAMA), frequency bands (Kuband/
C-band), link availability calculation and trade-off between signal quality and availability
Class Research Project: Deployment and testing of a health data collection system
• Researched and developed requirements for web-based software instrumentation for collecting health
questionnaire, physical examination, and lab data for a large health study using at home air-cards.
• Created test plan for asynchronous collaboration and path and branch coverage
• Designed usability test for testing capacity of system
Class system development Project: Design of memory leakage software test tool
• Defined requirements and designed a system to detect memory leakage and free memory
• Developed and coded algorithm using C++ to find unnecessary memory allocation and locate
associated code segment
Undergraduate Senior Project - Embedded System Based Ethernet Controller
Designed an Ethernet controller to establish communication between machines thereby connecting them in
network such that all machines can be controlled and maintained remotely by single person.
• Study requirements, select components, design of artwork, soldering components and testing PCB.
• Design and code chip (8051 simulation language and Visual basic) and do unit testing of code
• Implementation of module on Network using Visual Basic 6.0 as a front end tool and 89c52 processor
