Associate Product Manager
CapsuleTech is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capsule Technologie, Paris, and is a leader in
providing medical device connectivity software. Responsible for developing a line of over 30
different RS-232 cables to connect medical devices to terminal concentrators and to be sold with
connectivity software. Also released five or six medical device software drivers per month to
comply with FDA requirements.

CYBEROPTICS SEMICONDUCTOR, Portland, OR 1994 – 2006
Product Marketing Manager
CyberOptics Semiconductor (formerly Imagenation and Hama) designs and manufactures video
frame grabbers (Imagenation) and wafer sensing devices (Hama). In 2006 the company was building
a new product line of semiconductor measurement devices with internal funding from the aging but
essential frame grabber and wafer sensor product lines.
* (2004 – 2006) Product marketing manager of frame grabber product line and new semiconductor
measurement devices. Evaluated semiconductor measurement market opportunities, developed
product ideas and marketing plan. Collaborated with engineering during development of
hardware and software to guide feature set. Guided company’s thinking, worked with Marcom
to develop sales collateral, and trained sales channel. Used customer interface skills to develop
strategic partnerships with major accounts to help bring products to market.
* (1998 – 2004) Worked in customer service as senior application support engineer. Helped
secure major frame grabber design wins in tandem with sales, some of which still generate
significant revenue. Earned the company an excellent reputation for customer service; was
singled out by name several times in survey as a reason for retaining customers.
* (1994 – 1998) As first software engineer in young company, built a software department and
managed it for four years including doing performance reviews. Managed projects producing
drivers and libraries for the three best-selling frame grabbers, two of which still generate enough
revenue to fund new development of semiconductor measurement devices.
