Directed the Payroll, A/R-A/P, Billing, Inventory and administrative systems migration and defined support and maintenance strategies. Oversaw company-wide desktop platform, including requirement planning and optimum bandwidth usage. Deployed a set of optimization tools for the rationalization of the server platform in tandem with other units of the company, including Internet Division, Physical Plant, Head-End and Construction. Designed the data warehouse and lead implementation efforts to provide foundation for data mining and statistical analysis of the Programming Provisioning system. Created strategic ties with key banking institutions both at technical and marketing levels to launch a co-branded service unique to Supercable’s subscribers.
Was able to put together professionals from different departments to lead Pay-per-View project, create the back-bone for automated predictable response over telephone as well as purchase-over-telephone. Also led a series of initiatives to create company identification and personal motivation both in the Back-office department and throughout the organization. Developed a set of software tools to collect and analyze scrap brokerage information in order to rationalize and maximize freight forwarding. Formulated the telecommunications model formulation for rationalization of bandwidth allocation between plant and headquarter offices. Lead implementation of the OLAP module for the company’s ERP. Designed, developed and implemented a Satellite, Wireless & Internet Distribution System for Digital Audio Content delivery to subscription customers. Tasks included evaluation of requirements, technical feasibility analysis, Hardware and Software configuration, evaluation and selection of components (provisioning, conditional access, administrative and encryption systems), field testing and Q/A.
Objective of project: Substitute aging over-the-phone, spectrum-limited technology with a state-of-the-art, cost-effective and more reliable alternative. In charge of 3 analysts and 4 assistants.
Harbor Securities, L.A. (On-Line Brokerage Firm Representative Office)

Deployed and maintained the Commission Management System. Coordinated systems bridging interfaces with parent office and Sub-Reps in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Venezuela. Developed Customer service manuals and trading assistance procedures. Developed new traders training material and supervised the training process. In charge of Professional Project Development Department for largest Telecommunications Systems Distributor and Integrator in Venezuela. Designed and implemented extensive set of software tools to automate and optimize the design and implementation of TVRO, Duplex (UL/DL) Earth Stations and broadcast systems for Off-the-Air TV stations and Cable companies, including modeling of propagation conditions, signal degradation and component topology Project manager for largest antenna farm in Venezuela (Cabletel). Over 300 successful installations for local and international government and corporate entities (Ministry of Transport & Communications Venevision, RCTV, Venezolana De Television, Televen, Promar Television, Telecaribe, CMT, Mineral Reclamation Technologies, Supercable and Cabletel, among others). Directly supervised 4 engineers, 8 senior technicians and 2 staff members. Held a chair in the Board of Directors until company’s takeover by Grupo Vepaco in 2000.
Early working experience as freshman for Krygier, Morales y Asoc. (Arthur Andersen & Co. Branch Office in Venezuela) and later as independent consultant included application design and coding as project team member in consulting assignments:
- Start-up of a Telecom branch office;
- Process Optimization, Procedures Definition, Automation and development of MRP/Inventory Management and Replacement Parts Management systems for Grupo REX (large shoestore chain);
