The Logistics and Distribution Modernization Program (LDMP) for the US Army encompassed the largest global SAP implementation attempted with a $1.4 billion operating budget. The SAP modules being implemented include MM, PP, SD, PM, PDM, WM, FI-AP, FI-GL, FI-RE, FI-FM, FI-SL, CO, QM, CS, PS, and HR (without payroll). Likewise, additional SAP tools being implemented include APO, BW, and SEM. I was responsible for:
• Providing the overall services leadership and strategic direction to the process integration team responsible for the successful and implementation of a set of web based tools and infrastructure to enable the identification, recording, and mapping of the existing ‘as is’ business processes to the anticipated ‘to be’ processes down to the data objects, data elements, transactions, and programs driving the processes and the migration of all of the associated data from the legacy systems to SAP
o My team successfully designed and implemented the MetaData Repository Toolset (multi-terabyte Oracle DB with a web-based GUI containing all of the metadata for over 400+ legacy applications, as well as, the proposed SAP ‘To-be’ environment) enabling the LMP program to drive through the preparation, conceptual design, realization, and final prep phases to reach the first site launch
• Ensuring overall risk management and compliance to governance standards across the program
• Leadership of a team of 2 senior level managers and over 40 development / DBA / analyst staff, budget ($19M+) management and strategic support for the overall project team of over 3,000 end users
o Management and coordination of multiple levels of SAP consultants, expert subject matter consultants, and government personnel
• In parallel, managed the development group on the Data Team involving the sourcing, cleansing, and migration of all data from the legacy environment for ALL army based systems to SAP
o Preparation of the entire project plan for all data activities including the implementation plans for over 29 army commands, depots, or bases
• Participation on a Data Strategy Council (DSC) that governed all decisions regarding the entire data effort for the SAP implementation and consisted of executive level government staff, CSC staff, and other consulting firms

Arnold Industries, Inc. – Lebanon, Pennsylvania 08/00 – 02/01
Director of LTL Information Systems (CIO for New Penn Motor Express)
Arnold Industries was one of the most profitably regional transportation & logistics companies in North East US and was comprised of New Penn Motor Express, Arnold Transportation Services, and Arnold Logistics. Since my departure, Roadway Corp purchased Arnold Transprotation Services and New Penn Motor Express. In my role, I was the highest IT executive (CIO) and managed all development, hardware operations, support and administration for the $300M+ Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Division, New Penn Motor Express responsible for:
• Management of a staff consisting of 2 managers and an indirect staff of 20+
• Coordination of the team to partner with the business in the formulation of overall architecture strategy, all application development activities, and continuing support of any new and existing technology including:
o Execution and support of the existing second tier Infintium ERP financial and HR applications
o Management and support of internal operational systems, infrastructure, and external web based applications on a 24/7 basis for customers via www.newpenn.com, the LTL Division’s website

Interim CFO / ERP Systems Consultant
Todosport Network was a start-up DOT.com company established in 12 countries throughout Latin America. The company contracted with Latin American athletes for their exclusive rights on the internet. Todosport designed and created their websites and all associated marketing. I was responsible for:
• Reviewing the entire financial and technology infrastructure of the company
• Researched and recommended the appropriate automated, fully integrated financial, e-commerce, and human resources web based ERP solution
o Completed a full assessment of each of the following ERP packages - Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, and other 2nd Tier Products - including the compilation of a summary report explaining the similarities, differences, and overall best fit for the company
• Conducted business process reviews, developed the strategy and overall project plan for the ERP implementation and lead of the successful implementation of the chosen solution (Peoplesoft)

Y2K/ERP Project Director – LAC Division
The Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Division of FedEx consisted of over 40 countries and 200+ sites. The company was executing a global implementation of Peoplesoft Financials & HR and the LAC, due to complexity, was the last division to be started. Additionally, the Y2K challenge was in front of the division. I was brought in by the divisional CIO to serve as the Project Director for the Peoplesoft Financials & HR implementation and Y2K Remediation project I reported directly to Project Management Office (PMO) and the LAC executive committee including the divisional CFO and CIO. As overall Project Director with an operating budget in the multi-millions the responsibilities for the ERP implementation included:
• Management of a team responsible for the identification of all accounting, finance, and HR applications impacted by the implementation of Peoplesoft throughout the LAC Division
o Lead a team that analyzed 80+ legacy applications & ensured that all requirements were captured
• Determination of which of the applications were to be replaced with what module (AP, AR, AM, GL, PM, HR) of Peoplesoft, classifying remaining applications per type of interface needed either to or from Peoplesoft, and reporting of all of this information to management
• Included the management, coordination, cooperation, and partnership of a team comprised of the LAC FedEx ITD department, the LAC Finance department, Peoplesoft function consultants, and each individual Country Controller and their associated users of the applications
As the Y2K Project Director the responsibilities included:
• Management and mentoring a team of 8 project managers with an overall group of 20+ team members with an indirect staff of 350+ dispersed in over 40 countries
o Leadership in the execution of all testing and associated remediations for 180+ applications, 5000+ embedded systems, 2000+ pieces of hardware and telecommunications, 75+ airport assessments, business continuance, contingency planning, and various other company specific projects.
• Ensured overall risk management across the division
• Control of an operating budget in the multi-millions
• Development and maintenance of the overall project plan (using MS Project) and eporting of ongoing project status to all levels of management

 Management of all financial applications development and support

 Management of all financial accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget and planning, collections, financial reporting, and tax management for the Caribbean distribution District consisting of over 25 countries and 30+ locations
