Job duties consist of complex translations, testing and diagnostic checks on systems, components, trunks, IP trunks, service circuits and lines. Building and turning up DS1’s, Routing, Rate Centers, ACD groups, Centrex groups, Servord features, and Provisioning of local lines. Utilized the Helmsman maintenance software, NAMS software, troubleshoot and diagnose installation and connection problems. Maintain Dram recordings for route treatments, back up billing and daily images. And building of voicemail boxes. Programming Nortel Gateway controllers, IEMS

Maintains communications for over 23,000 subscribers. In charge of 28 soldiers. Job duties consist of testing and diagnostic checks on systems, components, trunks, service circuits and lines. Diagnosed and perform corrective and preventative maintenance on a Nortel SL-100 central office switch, comprised of a Supernode, Enet, OC3 fiber ring network, T-1's, and seven remote switching centers (RSC's) Utilized the Helmsman maintenance software. Operated a telephone trouble desk to troubleshoot and diagnose installation and connection problems. Supervises the installation, maintenance, quality control, and accountability of all active work orders for telephone and Local Area Network (LAN) on the installation.

Responsible for the planning, deployment, and control of a forward deployed Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) Battalion; which consist of over 1000 soldiers. Identify problem areas and direct configuration and installation of 124 signal shelters. Established the first Garrison Training Network (GTN) which provide technical trouble shooting classes on all software and signal shelters for V CORPS.

Installs, operates, supervises and performs unit level maintenance on system
control center, node center switch, extension node switches, associated multiplexing, net radio interfaces equipment, communications security devices and remote transmission radios; troubleshoots to the board level using digital multimeters, computer terminals with diagnostic readouts and board level LEDs and configuration switches. Provided technical assistance troubleshooting, and electromechanical repairs. Established first NATO relations interface in Europe with the MSE signal equipment.
