My Role: I worked in Lehman Brothers Inc., Mortgage Capital division (dba Aurora Loan Services). My job was do Change/Config management, vendor management, support DB2 database, support Web logic server 8.1SP3, Deploying the new builds/release on various environment, ILOG Jrules, CVS/MS VSS administration.

Project name: Automated Underwriting (AU)
Automated Underwriting was a Lehman Brothers long-term vision whose functionality will be delivered in multiple, incremental phases. In its most fundamental form, Automated Underwriting can be viewed as an “engine” that applies a set of business rules to a problem, and will be utilized in a variety of problem domains including risk assessment, eligibility analysis, documentation requirements, pricing, fraud analysis, and product/pricing optimization.

The Automated Underwriting project introduced two key pieces of functionality:
• Loan Finder will identify prospective mortgage products that are consistent with a subset of mortgage application data, such as Loan-to-Value ratio (LTV), Debt-to-Income ratio (DTI), Credit Score, etc. Next Loan Finder will determine the prices of selected products.
• Full Evaluation will provide full, automated underwriting of a complete mortgage application (using 1003 data and credit report(s) as input).
This functionality will be composed of the following:
• Loan Finder – eligibility web service
• Pricing – web service
• Full Evaluation Eligibility and documentation levels web service
• Credit web service
• Loan Central (adaptation layer for LQR/LQP and TMO)
• Web presentation for LF and FE.
Environment: Java, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, EJB, JUnit, Ant, XML, Web Services, Castor, Xdoclet, Hibernate, Struts, ILOG JRules, Web logic 8.1SP3, UML, Rational Rose, IBM AIX , Sun Solaris,DB2.
Responsibilities: I played multiple roles for this project. I was fully responsible for new builds and releases. I managed several consultants/developers/DBAs for this project. I mentored some junior level staff also.

My major tasks were
(i) Environment setup: Successfully created the full very robust J2EE environment. Fully responsible for primary environment set up for Dev, QA, Stage, production and DR. This involves providing the clustered web logic 8.1SP3 set up, IBM DB2 set up, ILOG jrules engine set up and their configuration/integration. Also, successfully integrated TIBCO JMS queue with Web logic 8.1SP3. Managed the whole environment.
(ii) Managing the whole J2EE environment: Several vendors provided code to LHI and at the receiving end I was response for taking the code in house, making changes on DB2 database to accommodate their changes, making build (initially I used ANT later I used Maven) put this new build on web logic 8.1 SP3 server. Coordinated with whole QA group for code quality and then pushes to stage environment, Coordinating with whole business group for their approval and when they approved this, I was responsible to put this code on production environment. Also created several SCM processes, so that code to different environment smoothly.
(iii) CVS/MS VSS administrator: created the directory structure and fully responsible for putting the code on CVS/VSS, maintaining the different versions. In the first phase we used MS VSS as code repository but after that I successfully implemented the CVS and then we used CVS.
(iv) DB2 UDB and Web logic 8.1 administrator: Since I fully owned the environments, so I was responsible for day-to-day Web logic 8.1SP3 administrator work. Also responsible for DB2 maintenance work, which is done by our DB group on my request.
(v) TIBCO JMS server administrator: was responsible for creating, deleting the queues and purge the queues.
(vi) Build/Config Management: Was fully responsible for new build and release.
(vii) ILOG administrator: I successfully customized the ILOG rule builder for our needs, which involve Java, JFC SWING programming. After that I worked as ILOG administrator, which involves adding/removing users, giving the access to different repositories.

About CoBank: CoBank has been a leader in delivering financial solutions to some of America's most successful businesses since 1916.CoBank specialize in agribusiness; communications, energy and water systems; and agricultural export financing.

My Role: I worked in CoBank as Software Engineer. I worked in ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) team, so my job to provide develop new applications and support existing applications on 24 X 7 Basis.

I was on call alternate week. I supported very important applications like their internet site (www.cobank.com), their Intranet, online banking system, online trading system, online meeting registration application and several others, which were very impartment for business.

To do these support work mainly I used
IBM Web sphere v3.5.2 on IBM AIX, iPlanet Web Server v4.1 on Sun Solaris 7.0, iPlanet Proxy Server v3.6 on Sun Solaris 7.0, Netscape Directory Server v4.1, RSA Ace Server v4.1 on Linux, Merant PVCS VM and Tracker. I do have very good Knowledge of these servers.
Also, I worked as MS VSS and PVCS administrator.
