QUALIFICATION OF DUTIES FOR PIPING ENGINEER:
Good understanding of distribution and progress of work activities particularly pertaining to multi discipline involvement of piping and mechanical system. Knowledge in accomplishment and variation works tracking for piping in relation to design intension of piping assembly, construction schedule and budgetary control.
Responsible for the execution of all piping engineering work, with specific areas of delivery assurance such as resources management to project, team capability and competency, quality (technical and schedule), health and safety.
Assurance of high-quality technical input to proposal and the business development function.
Making an active contribution to the upstream engineering community of practice.
Exposure includes projects involving mechanical equipment/piping design drawings accuracy of all materials needed for pre-fabrication and erection works. Well known to prepare test packages, witness to different types of testing as per procedure, knowledge for pre-commissioning and commissioning works, witness and signed all re-instated pipelines, functional checks, initial start-up, physical positional checking and related works, prepared and keeps all documents records for completed test packages.
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:
Having eighteen (18) years of progress experience in (EPC) project as of piping/structural for various projects, such as Management of Oil and Gas Storage Facilities, Oil and Gas Refinery, Petrochemical Plant, Pipeline, Power Plant, Building Services, HVAC and Plumbing System.
Familiar to the code and standards, such as ASME B31.3 (Chemical Plant and Petroleum Refinery Piping), ASME B31.1 (Power Piping), ASME B31.4 (Liquid Transportation System for Hydrocarbons, Liquid Petroleum gas Anhydrous Ammonia and Alcohols), API 5L (Specification for line pipes), ASME Section II (Materials), Section V (Non-destructive Examination), Section IX (Welding Brazing Qualifications), ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), AWS (American National Standards for Structural Welding Codes Steel).
Possesses good understanding of functional and systematic approach in equipment / piping erection works such as:
• Comprehension of all types of drawings and diagram particularly involving piping system like P & ID, Isometric, Pipe support, general arrangement equipment piping and others.
• Ensure the correct documentation to be handed over at the completion / delivery of the facilities and initial of them (e.g. as-built, check list, test records, etc.) to signify completion of the works in accordance to the project requirements.
• Knowledge in piping inspection/testing works.
• Knowledge in documentation procedures like site instruction, test packages, change orders, works permit, method of statement, etc.
• Coordinate works with various disciplines.
• Good knowledge and experience in piping class selection, piping specification, involvement in mechanical piping analysis/modeling, development of BOMs and ISOs.
• Good working knowledge and experience with piping and valves design, engineering construction, standards, codes and practices.
• Overall responsibilities for the monitoring of all piping and mechanical completion activities.
