F2 Conditioning Design: My tasks include:
• Maintains control of outside plant (OSP) activities surrounding a given wire center.
• Maintains accurate records of copper/fiber cables counts, and makes engineering decisions in design(BSTCAD and Micro station programs) extracting information from the Map viewer for the new construction of telecom facilities or the upgrade of existing facilities in that wire center.
• Determines correct procedures for OSP copper/fiber cables splicing, ready access Terminals, SOP terminals, Encapsulated Terminals and fixed terminals on the field.
• Able to provide suggested copper/fiber cable routings, drop/house/unit count and proposed/actual pedestal locations intended to afford design personnel the optimum opportunity to design the most effective plant placement.
• The designs created will be based on current and past network architectures including F2 and Light Speed Conditioning.
• Work on MET^2 for creating spreadsheets for the current wire center details.


Skills:
• Introduction to Fiber Optics Communications, Siemens PLC S7-300, Step 7 – ladder Logic programming, SCADA Programming & Applications.
• HDL Programming Languages: VHDL, PERL, C, C++, 8085.
• Design Tools: Micro wind, WARP, Microsim PSpice, MathCAD, Autocad and Matlab.
