SAP Profitability Analysis – Implementation a new reporting rule and optimized utilization of disc space and memory thus decreased the usage of Reserved ID’s.
Retired legacy HR systems (North America & Europe) and moved the functionality into SAP using SAP Script. Tenneco was in great need due to cost savings (~ $150,000) over a 3 year period which did not include the cost of an upgrade to Oracle 8i databases and servers.
Web Projects Managed
Implemented a Global IT Procurement system accessed via the Intranet. Lead time from request to delivery was anywhere from 22 – 80 days. I worked with the Notes development team, Directors, VP’s, Procurement, IOS, Security and CIO which led to be one of the most successful implementations. Phase 2 of the project is to automatically generate Purchase Requisitions into SAP.
Implemented a JAVA based Oracle back-end system accessed via the Intranet to allow for precise costing and quoting to Daimler-Chrysler in Edenkoben, Germany. The problem Edenkoben was facing is how they historically kept track of what was quoted. I worked directly with the VP of Commercial Vehicles and Specialty Markets, JAVA developers (internal and external), Business Unit Managers, Cost Estimators, Infrastructure, Architecture, Maintenance, Security, Service Desk, Resource Managers, PMO and Project Board Members. The costing, pricing and quoting was all reported from Crystal Enterprise where we mirrored the original look and kept all historical quotes to the customer that was easily and readily available. We had 4 months to have this system available otherwise we would have lost close to $3M in incremental business.
Worked with HR to implement a hosted Learning Management Solution (LMS) to house core business processes training on-line accessible anytime/anywhere. I created an application to gather employee profile changes that need to reflect in the LMS.
Managed the re-branding from Tenneco-Automotive to Tenneco on the corporate website.
Lotus Notes Projects Managed/Developed/Implemented
Implemented various changes to a Notes application for HR (HR Programs) so employees can enter their objectives and development plans.
Managed, developed and implemented a Competency Assessment Tool which included up to 6 levels of approvals. This application was solely intended for employees to rate themselves in Critical, Cross-Functional and Technical Competencies which was tied to the HR Programs database.
Managed and developed a tool for Global Supply Chain Management to record TVM’s (Total Value Management) making forecasting and reporting for future AOPs and potential cost savings by introducing new ideas reviewed by a committee frequently.
Managed and developed a Global Communication Application for distributing various links to announcements. This application resulted in a very large cost reduction in disc space and maintenance. Users would click a link rather than receiving the attachment itself which can be downloaded if needed.
Managed and enhanced an application for Change Management to be used globally. This helped the maintenance team keep record on when system downtime will occur so the respective groups can be notified. Due to bandwidth issues I recommended CITRIX and implemented without any license increases.
Managed and Developed an HR Head Count Reporting application globally.
Managed and developed an intricate Sales Compensation application which kept a rolling total which can be imported directly into payroll for processing.
With the use of Kaizen methodology, I trained the corporate HR staff Lotus Notes functionality to improve efficiency in their daily activities.
