Project Verizon One – Verizon
Role: J2EE DEVELOPER Sept’07-current

VerizonOne is a new home phone device which has highly roubust and consists of advance features like messaging, address book, email ,phone , audio and video content display etc with touch tone feature. The user inteface language includes c++ and a lot of STL feature while the backend server side component is build upon java/j2ee language. For sms protocol used is smpp while for mms smtp protocol is used for messaging feature. Backend component is oracle db deployed in unix sun solaris. System is highly complex and robust to handle maximum high load at critical time.

Contributions:

· My contribution for this project was on new enhancement and support.
· Client enterface is in c++ while server side component is java.
· SMPP protocol was used for SMS while SMTP protocol was used for MMS.

Project Verizon Network Management – Verizon
Role: J2EE DEVELOPER Jan’07- Sept’07

Verizon Network Management is a tool that is to provide configuration driven interfaces to the remote facility, be that a EMS, NMS or Network Element. It provisions the network element like routers, GPON (giga bit passive optical network) etc. For provisioning the remote network element it communicate using network language like TL1 and CLI using java socket programming.

Contributions:

· My contribution for this project was basically more towards to the GPON device.
· I was responsible for writing grammer for Alcatel Gpon (giga bit passive optical network) TL1 language and writing scripts for it for the activation.
· Scripts uses velocity template.
· JMS queue was used for storing alarms, activate blocking and activate non blocking request and response of the network elements.
· Used J2ee 1.4 extensively and MVC 2.0 as per the architecture of the system.
· Used DB2 as a database.
· Used DAO pattern to access the presentation layer.
· Used hibernate for persistence of database.
· Used apache AXIS for webservices for the activation of network elements.

Project Ebiz Project – Xerox
Role: J2EE DEVELOPER Oct’06- Dec’06

Xerox Ebiz project which I was a part of as a support was basically an order management project. The project goal was to keep track of the order and keep track of the course for analyst. The basic business rules is to submit requests for reimbursement for activities accomplished at the customer site to aid in the ability of the customer to utilize new Xerox equipment in support of their business.
The solution should eliminate the manual processing for reimbursement requests other than the actual signing/sending out of the check. The application should provide various reports for effectively tracking the requests and viewing the summary of the transactions. It should have a tracking mechanism to eliminate chance of duplicate payments.

Contributions:

· My contribution for this project was to support and do enhancement on the module AART and FIDA.
· Used J2ee 1.4 extensively and MVC 2.0 as per the architecture of the system.
· Used oracle as a persistence and jdbc for the persistence layer.
· Used DAO pattern to access the presentation layer.
· In presentation layer used JSP, HTML, Javascript, CSS etc.

Project: SRS Project

SRS Project which I was involved was basically project management type. The goal of the project was to provide the tools needed for project manager, project lead, management etc to get access to the system and add the service request for that particular project and add time entry for hours worked for that particular week onto particular project. Apart from that it does has functionality of adding service request, projects, team member etc so as to assist for the project team mates.

Project: DANBRO Project – Danish Government

DANBRO Project which I was involved was basically a Danish government project. Application was used by the Department of Transportation. The project main goal was to allow the user to add the details of the bridges and associated information regarding it rather than putting the information on the paper. The user associated was able to add the structure and sub structure and add the necessary information regarding it. The system was highly complex and scalable.

The goals of the project was to provide Syniverse Network Operations group with a Work Center application that will automate the workflow process in the Circuit Provisioning Center, improve the integrity of the information, reduce manual work and facilitate the ability to handle improved volume of orders. The application, in conjunction with a set of processes, will enable the client to achieve Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements. WorkCenter Application will implement data persistency by utilizing a object-relational mapping (ORM) technology called Hibernate. Hibernate is a powerful, high performance object/relational persistence and query service.

Contributions:

· Developed project entirely on struts framework.
· Developed Jsp, html, Action class, Action forms etc.
· Created wire frame for mock up of the presentation layer.

Project: Wisdom Order Management – Excelacom (Verizon)

WISDOM Order Management includes a user interface for PRT personnel to view, assign, distribute, and change the status of WISDOM information. This includes the ability to view Wisdom requests and orders for Wholesale Local, Wholesale Access and Retail. It also provides the ability for authorized users to maintain information about order status. Wisdom Order Management provides the capability to view, assign, and manage Wisdom tasks that are automatically generated to facilitate the processing of requests and orders that need some type of user intervention.

Contributions:

· Developed code to interact with the TBS from the middleware.
· Write query to validate the requisite valid value from the backend system.
· Used WASAD 5.1.2 for the development purpose and basically used WASAD as an IDE for the development environment.
· Used extensively Weblogic for creating connection pool and datasources where as MQ-Series was used for the communication between the front-end and middleware component.
· Played key role in middleware architecture and was mostly involved in middleware component development.
· Played around frequently with the XML DOM parser for the necessary data manipulation from the user’s input from the front-end.
· Used regular expression to write some rules for the wisdom order management.

Project: CDMA - Project
Role: Undergraduate Project Jan’02- Jun’03

Project in Performance Evaluation of CDMA and Fading in wireless communication. Developed in Matlab to prove Raylegh, Rician, Nagakami etc fading types. Mathematically modeled CDMA to determine larger scope of FSK, PSK in context of multiple accesses.


· Used Simulink of Matlab to generate the output of rayleigh fading, rician fading, Nagakami fading by feeding the appropriate transfer function with white noise etc.

· Used Statistical tools of Matlab to compare the probability distribution of fading of different types of fading i.e. Rayleigh, rician and nagakami fading.

· Used control toolbox to calculate the root locus, stability (left half poles) point of a given functions based upon the frequency response.

· Used Communication and Signal Processing tools to calculate the performance evaluation in terms of bit error rate of all digital frequency modulation like FSK, PSK etc.

· Done initial phase of future version of OFDM too. Besides used Matlab extensively in designing IIR and FIR filter like Chebyshive type I and type II, High pass/Low Pass type.

· For determining the FFT and DFT, calculating the good window methods (rectangle window, hamming window etc), determining the linearity, time invariance, causality and stability, MatLab was used extensively.
