responsible for the development, modification and maintenance of data processing systems for several applications within the Defense Finance Accounting System. Equipment includes file servers, exchange server for the battalion which acts as the central processing unit for all finance programs used by the detachment. Control, monitor, upgrade and install new programs on 8 Hp LC 2000/2003 servers, one Oracle DB server Microsoft 2000/2003 server operating system. Responsible for providing key government personnel with policy coordination and interpretation support, general information security support, and assisting with the development and implementation of a defensive security program that protects Information systems and documents. Additionally, was responsible for ensuring and documenting that all systems were regularly scanned and audited in accordance with applicable DOD policy and procedures, and that incidents were documented and accounted for as required. Using network scanning tools such as ISS Internet Scanner, Harris STAT, SMS, WSUS to determine system and network vulnerabilities/deficiencies. Responsible for requirements using a 5 year replacement plan; develop, interpret and implement automation regulations and policies. Develop and implement automation plans. and training areas in the ASG. Responsible for the implementation and training of all assigned personnel on USAREUR, 7th ATC Home station training concept in
