Managed the new team members during the transfer of project responsibilities, and managed the project tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
Responsible for design and maintenance of OLTP and reporting databases. Responsibilities included scheduling and monitoring database backups, log shipping to read-only reporting database, performance tuning, development of coding standards and practices, database code reviews. Also was responsible for design and maintenance of various data feeds to and from other systems using ISQL or BCP.
Worked as part of the development group to design and build an Intranet web application using Java to enable users to track and maintain data specific to Retail Business Development. Enhancements were made to accommodate the specific, changing, and growing needs to the applications user group.
Responsible to code, schedule, and maintain several batch processes that performed a wide variety of system functions, like scheduled reports, system monitoring and notification, and various other automation activities, many of which involved encryption and secure file transport.

Managed a small development team to build a scientific document management system for chemical testing labs. This system used Oracles Intermedia Indexing to perform sophisticated document indexing beneath a PowerBuilder user interface.
(1/1999 8/1999) - Norwest Mortgage
Consulting at Norwest Mortgage, coded enhancements to an existing Loan Pooling and Delivery system. This two-tier application used a non-PFC based framework and all database access was coded using stored procedures.
(6/1998 - 12/1998) - Business Incentives
Designed and coded databases packages using Oracle PL/SQL to perform server side processing for a Training Certification Program. Using Unix Kornshell, wrote script to schedule and automate FTP file transfers.
(11/1997 - 5/1998) - 3M
Business Analyst for the CDMS (Chemical Data Management System) project. Attended meetings with 3rd party vendor for a Closeness of Fit study. Also installed and configured MS SQL Server for the software demo @ 3M.

Enhancement and redesign of a mission critical, CSMS order entry system. Utilizing PowerBuilder, Sybase System 10, dual deployment to Windows NT and Windows 3.11.
(2/1995 - 10/1995) - Delta Airlines
Responsible for analysis, design and development for a GUI front end for the SkyMiles II Frequent Flyer system. Worked on several different phases of the project, including system analysis and process modeling, and programmed additional features and enhancements to the system using POWERBUILDER and Visual Basic.
(5/1993 - 1/1995) Transport America
Converted applications from Clipper to SQL Server. Converted AS/400 A/R package from RPG/400 to POWERBUILDER/SQL Server. Major responsibility included installation and support of SQL Server, installation and support of Windows NT Server, applying fixes, debugging, backups, DML, and security. Gathered user requirements, tested and implementation of software. Worked extensively with SQL Server.
Developed supporting systems for operations and the business office using POWERBUILDER for the application interface and SYBASE for the database management system.
