Network Systems Analyst

· Project manager for hardware upgrade project at PRICELINE.COM in Stamford, CT. Managed a 5 person team that upgraded their existing Compaq servers to rack mount 1850Rs as well as OS installation and configuration.
· Project manager for migration of Novell 4.11 to NT Server 4.0 at GE Capitol Performance Technology Solutions division in Norwalk, CT. Migration of users desktop OS from Win3.1 to Win95 along with user files and software. Designed and implemented network upgrade strategy from Token Ring to Ethernet 10baseT. Provided ongoing support post migration of network.
· Project manager for LAN and WAN upgrade and implementation for the city of Norwalk, CT. Installation and configuration of MS Proxy Server 2.0 to provide city wide internet access for all departments. Reconfiguration of existing TCP/IP scheme to allow segmentation of the WAN into a coherent and usable subnet strategy. Installation of 3Com Core Builder 3500 layer 3 switches configured for an 8 segment TCP/IP VPN/WAN with Fiber Backbone to connect the entire city.
· Ongoing software and network support for various small businesses all over the state of CT.

· Installation, ongoing support, and maintenance of new and existing networks (LAN/WANS) for PC and Macintosh platforms. WAN technology using T1 Frame Relay and Digital Routers as well as dial-up connections through NT Server and Digital Modem Server model 90M.

· Onsite technical support throughout the school district as well as providing phone and email support for hardware and software issues.
· Installation and termination of CAT5, telephone, RJ11, RJ45, T1 Frame Relay, Fiber Optic, and Thin-Net cable.
· Database management of inventory and repair orders.
· Wrote a parser in C/C++ with a co worker to parse the VAX VMS database and export to a file format that could be imported into the new MS Access database for the school district.
