Consultant/Systems Analyst
The design and system analysis for a “Computerized Project Monitoring System” (CPMS) commissioned by the Organization of American States (OAS), Washington for the Economic Development Unit (EDU) of the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica. The (CPMS) would provide for the monitoring of all projects, enable the maintenance of a data bank on projects, tracking them from feasibility, appraisal and funding negotiations, to project implementation, completion and operation. Funding source analysis and financial monitoring would be a by-product of data acquisition enabling reports to be prepared by project sector and plan. The consultation was successfully completed and delivered.

Chief planner of an offshore garment manufacturing operation, producing garments designated as “action-wear” for US companies such as PATAGONIA and HANES. The products were of a high international standard and were marketed through upscale department stores in the United States. This operation required the establishment of a new facility, design of production floor and workshops, selection of equipment and specialty parts, training of technical support staff and supervisors. Our selections, procedures and training methods allowed us the opportunity to train numerous employees for other enterprises. We also manufactured a wide range of undergarments and lingerie for the regional and international markets.
My work required a proactive management style and involved marketing and sales, quality control, training, governmental and labor relations and overall financial management.
