The Avionics Senior Technical Sales Engineer will combine technical knowledge with solution-selling skills to generate revenue by developing the South America market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales; recommending new products and services.
· Identify new clients who will benefit from company products or services and maximize client potential in designated regions
· Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements
· Communicate concisely and effectively with customers and internal divisions alike to aid “seamless” service.
· Build a solid customer network, adopting utmost ethics in business practice and ensuring communicative links between the customer and company headquarters.
· Listen carefully to customer requirements and build a responsive solution for offer.
· Close sales by persuading clients that the offered company solution (products and/or services) best satisfies their needs in term of quality, price and delivery;
· Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs;
· Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after – sales support services;
· Identify and attend appropriate trade shows, conferences and other marketing events;
· A bachelor’s degree in aerospace or equivalent engineering;
· A minimum of 10+ years directly related aerospace industry business experience;
· 10+ years experience with Aircraft Avionics Systems; Aircraft Satellite Communications Systems a plus
· Experience preparing and presenting solutions-based technical marketing presentations to customers;
· Ability to work independently, under high pressure from both sides and to deploy a high degree of flexibility;
· Commercial Pilot’s license with Pilot in Command experience a plus
