We are looking for an experienced firmware designer to support research and development of next generation products. The person in this position will be responsible for development, simulation and implementation of control algorithms and calculations for advanced technologies.
An individual must have high level (e.g. C/C++) and assembly language experience, and will need to code, debug and test algorithms. Additional responsibilities will include supporting emulation hardware development and maintaining design environments for 8/16-bit microcontrollers and DSP architectures.
The position requires excellent written and verbal communication, and will involve close interaction with applications, design, marketing and test organizations.
This position requires an MSEE and 5+ years or BSEE and 7+ years algorithm and high level embedded code design experience as well as experience with Verilog/VHDL, and Matlab.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the invention, simulation, implementation and verification of novel digital signal processing algorithms including control loops, filters, synchronization and signal modulation.
A working knowledge of mixed-signal building blocks (e.g. PLLs etc) is strongly preferred.
