Responsibilities include:
Develop Windows compatible audio device drivers across multiple platforms: Personal Computer, Tablet and Mobile.
Provide effective direct management of the team including recruitment and hiring, performance evaluations and reviews, training and mentoring of personnel, task assignments, execution of development efforts, and project status monitoring.
Provide strategic planning and guidance to functional definition, software architecture, design, coding, documentation and testing of audio device drivers.
Collaborate with key customers for specifying and developing audio driver enhancements.
Works with Project Managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for projects and other activities such as software deployment and customer integration.
Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan.
Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters in CS/EE with at least 5 years in Windows audio driver software development and a minimum of 3 years as a Software Development Manager with a proven track record of delivering audio device drivers.
Must have knowledge of the Microsoft UAA environment, the Audio Class Driver and the development and integration of Audio Processing Objects (APO's).
Good understanding of audio codecs, DSPs, digital audio, related processing and interface technologies.
Ability to plan, assess risk, organize and work successfully on simultaneous projects. Basic understanding of Agile development methodology in a SCRUM environment.
Must communicate effectively, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully lead others.
