We are looking for an experienced user interface developer to join the development team. You will work with the team to present our advanced parallelization technology in an intuitive and visually attractive way to the user. This is not your typical Flex programming role – our cloud-based user interface is a complex Flex application with many highly technical components. We are looking for someone who is a well-rounded computer scientist in addition to a Flex developer. This would be demonstrated by a CS degree, knowledge of more traditional programming environments or projects that show deep engineering ability. We prefer candidates who have worked on impressive user interfaces that they can demonstrate to us. Furthermore candidates should posses a keen product sense and be able to contribute good ideas for improving the product. Responsibilities
• Develop the Rich Internet Application (RIA) frontend for our parallelization technology;
• Define UI requirements and constraints from customers and developers;
• Balance innovative new features with performance and speed for optimal user experience;
• Manage the technical work and results from external development partners;
• Develop and maintain ties to the Adobe Flex and open source community.
• Excellent control of the English language;
Profile
• Top-notch software development skills. Prior experience in Adobe Flex & ActionScript is preferred; experience in related technologies will be accepted;
• Demonstrable experience in developing non-trivial user interfaces;
• At least two years of hands-on development experience;
• Experience with graphic design with strong CSS experience; Flash experience is preferred;
• Demonstrable knowledge of usability and user experience design is a plus
• Experience with Eclipse plug-in development (Java, Eclipse plugin, RCP, SWT/JFace) to link the web interface with the Eclipse IDE is a plus;
• Experience in developing with Java and XML;
