C2Portfolio, Inc. (C2) is looking to hire experienced Linguists for multiple opportunities
world-wide. Founded in 1996, C2 is a leader in Human Capital management and Human Resource
shared services. A mature, SBA Certified 8(a), Woman-Owned business, C2’s worldwide client base
covers 50 U.S. states and 13 countries.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates fluent in the Dari-Farsi language.
Duties:
•Provide concise and accurate foreign language interpretation, transcription, reporting, and
translation services. Translated material could include hand written or typed documents
(hard copy or electronic), and multi-media (audio/video) material to DOD and other various
government organizations worldwide.
•Provide various designated on-site translation services in verbatim, summary or transcription
format during meetings, conferences or interviews; using proper grammar, correct syntax, and
understanding of common expressions.
•Perform document exploitation, as well as scan, research, and analyze foreign language
documents for key information.
Qualifications:
•Professional experience as a linguist is required with the ability to achieve a DLPT, or
comparable language test vehicle, test score of "3" or better proficiency in the Dari-Farsi language
and a “2+” in English for listening, reading, and written translation.
•Ability to provide idiomatic translations of non-technical material using correct syntax and
expression from English to the native language and vice versa.
•Ability to conduct consecutive, accurate translations/interpretation of ongoing conversations
and activities.
•Must be capable of providing cultural, social, and ethnic context of translations and
interpretations, and advise supported organization on the cultural, social and ethnic
significance of conversations, situations, and documents.
•Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a civil-military team in an
unstructured environment.
•Familiar with the local culture, conduct oneself in accordance with local customs, and deal
unobtrusively with the populace.
•Candidate will be required to travel 100% of the time to various locations, and be able to
perform their duties under stressful and difficult situations/environments.
Must be willing to deploy worldwide.
