Description
• Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and Data Processing management through the full project development life cycle.
• Works closely with client management to identify and specify business requirements and Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the telecommunication system(s) design.
• Performs analysis, system design, documentation, testing, implementation and on-going support for extremely complex telecommunications systems.
• staffs in all phases of the development and implementation process.
• Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
• +10 years experience in direct support of Extranet & Internet DMZs and network security for business to business corporate connectivity.
• Thorough knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, PIX Firewalls, FWSMs, ASAs, Cisco Security Manager, IPSec, S2S VPN, Split Managed VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, TFTP, Windows Networking, as deployed in large complex firewalled VPN and leased line networks running, IPSec, EIGRP, BGP, RIP, OSPF, h323, VOIP, and multicast.
• Engineer will have solid communication skills both written and verbal
• Engineer will lead planning and troubleshooting calls beyond network support needs but representing the application level as much as possible.
• Layer 3 & 4 Application Support: Connect Direct/NDM, Cyberfusion, MQ, FIX, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, Citrix ICA, RDP, Lotus Notes, and various customer specific applications.
• Directly support trading in global markets and support Market Data Services and trading application.
• Experience with all applications and networks from Bloomberg, Reuters, Radianz, Trading Technologies, CME, CBOT, NYMEX, SIAC, DTCC, Eurex, LIFFE, LCH, LME, ICE/IPE a plus but not required.
• Certifications Desired: Cisco CCSP/DP/NP/IE, CISSP
• Solid Project management skills
