Sr. Logic Designer – San Diego
DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for logic design of IP that performs communication with flash memory and error correction in high-end solid stated drive systems.
- The position requires working with architects and system designers to define micro-architecture and detailed design specs, to code the IP in HDL, to verify functionalities at block and chip level, to synthesize in target technology to meet target speed, area and power and to handoff the design front-end implementation team.
- The candidate will have also to map the logic design to FPGA platform for system level architecture and performance analysis.
- An essential part of the work is also the development and review of the test plan with the verification engineers and the debugging of the logic design to meet the verification requirements.
Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements
- Master's Electrical Engineering and at least 6 to 10 years of applicable experience
Skills/Experience
- Verilog/VHDL coding, Synthesis, Formal Verification, Static Timing Analysis.
- High level behavioral modeling in C/C++/SystemVerilog.
- Perl/shell scripting languages
- FPGA design and debugging
- Additional experience in these area are a plus:
- Digital Signal processing and Error correction codes
- Design of flash memory based products and applications
- Embedded controller or processor hardware and firmware design
- USB, SAS, SATA interface protocols
- Lab experience, measurement equipments, board level debugging
