Description
We are the Ohio Willow Wood Company, a stable, successful 104-year-old provider of products to the prosthetics and orthotics industry. Located in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, we have a great opportunity for a talented SQL Server Programmer Analyst. You will be responsible for a full range of programming projects related to company accounting and business systems.
Key Responsibilities
The SQL Server Programmer Analyst is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and development relative to the SQL Server based systems/applications required to service the customer. This includes commonly accepted accounting and business systems built on the Sage MAS 500 ERP system. Flexibility in terms of assignments and daily routine is important. Proven ability in a Microsoft SQL Server environment is required.
* Developing, testing, installation, roll-out procedures and participating in the actual roll-out process for applications required to meet the strategic direction of the business.
* Provide reports and data views to deliver data to users as needed or requested with a view to minimize the proliferation of reports.
* During initial data gathering determine that any given request is in line with business strategy and goals.
* Responsible for support and troubleshooting systems in terms of analysis of issues and resolution to the user’s satisfaction.
* Provide user support as required or requested for system messages.
* Interface with IT team members as required in the resolution of issues.
* Keep the IT Director informed of activities and issues.
* Report systematic conditions or other situations which may have implications to business continuance.

Experience
* 3 – 5 years of application development and maintenance in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
* A proven track record in the .NET development platform, MS SQL Server version 2005 and above, current versions of Crystal Reports.
* Some skills in project management are necessary to assure accuracy and timely conclusion to assignments.
* Effective analysis skills are required for the timely resolution of systemic problems.
* An understanding of business principles and manufacturing processes and concepts associated with an ERP system is important.
Knowledge
* Position requires knowledge of the Software Development Methodologies.
* Skills in the programming and troubleshooting of windows mobile applications devices such as PDA desired.
Qualification
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent working experience
