VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Network / Systems Infrastructure Manager for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Technical Knowledge and skills
I. Expert knowledge of Microsoft products including:
a. Windows 2008 Enterprise Server
b. MS SQL Server 2008
c. Microsoft IIS
d. Microsoft DPM 2010
e. Microsoft SCOM, SCCM
f. Microsoft Hyper V
II. Hardware implementation and management
a. Blade Server installation and Administration (preferably Fujitsu)
b. Installation and administration of Blade management modules and HW Management solution
c. Implementation and management of blade network switches.
d. Hardware problem diagnosis and repair.
e. Planned firmware and bios upgrades.
III. Windows 2008 Active Directory Setup and Administration
a. Knowledge of inter-forest trust relationships
b. Thorough understanding of OUs
IV. Backup and Recovery Systems Implementation and Management
a. MS DPM 2010
b. EMC Tape Library and Tape Rotation Planning
c. MS Windows OS Shadow Copy Usage
d. Image Creation and Virtual Environment Cloning
e. Planning and Implementation of Virtual Environment Backup/Recovery
V. Network
a. TCP/IP Networking (DNS/WINS/DHCP/VPNS)
b. LAN/WAN (Switches, routers firewalls, Load Balancers, Web Services, VLAN Segregations)
c. SAN Storage (EMC) Management and Administration
d. Blade Centre Network Switches Administration.
e. Implementation of SSL.
f. Implementation of NIC Teaming
VI. Virtualization using Hyper-V
Responsibilities
1. Ability to meet and deliver as per the agreed Service Level Agreements.
2. Ability to plan, organize, monitor and utilise IT operations resources efficiently.
3. Ability to analyse diagnose design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets.
4. Ability to analyse business requirements and advise management on options for operational improvement
5. Ability to utilize company specific policies and practices for planning and administration of budget.
6. Effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems and making decisions in a disciplined and systematic fashion.
7. Must have a demonstrated and visible client advocacy focus and excellent client relationship skills.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and documentation, are critical.
9. Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals and vendors in other countries.
10. The individual should demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgement, and have the ability to achieve results on his own and through others.
11. Must be highly organise with a high attention to detail.
12. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
13. Demonstrated ability to work independently with little manager oversight.
14. Proactive approach towards network management.
15. Ability and willingness to provide support during off hours if necessary.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Works to ensure established Service Level Agreements in areas of responsibility are met.
2. Installation and support of server software / hardware
3. Manage Backups using DPM 2010
4. Manage SQL Server 2008 as backup to DBA
5. Manage SAN
6. Manage work through vendors whenever applicable
7. Ensure 24x7 availability of services.
8. Capacity Planning
9. Performance Tuning, Monitoring and Logging/Reporting.
Required Experience in: 7+Years.
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
The selected candidates shall join VAM SYSTEMS – UAE and shall be deputed to one of the leading Organizations in UAE.
