VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Network Administrator for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skillset required:
• Minimum 3 years experience in Enterprise class network environment.
• Technical proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
o Switching & Routing
o Network Services (DNS/DHCP/Load Balancer/FireWall/WAN Optimizer)
o Wireless LAN
o Network Management Systems
o Fiber & Copper Cabling
o Network Tools for troubleshooting and analysis
Responsibilities:
Monitors network traffic and the performance and overall quality of service provided by the network and its constituent hardware, software, transmission services and support functions
Supports the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans according to agreed IT analysis methods, tools and techniques for identifying potential exposures to all network systems which support critical business processes
Assists in performing defined tasks related to the planning, installation, upgrade, operation, control and maintenance of local and wide area networks for communication of data, voice, text or images
Performs ‘first level’ hardware support activities by investigating, diagnosing and resolving computer hardware problems, with support from superiors and team members
Contributes to the testing and verification of hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet defined specifications and requirements
Reviews reports from applications software, systems software or service delivery staff and raises any identified issues with the supervisor
Provides effective support in making minor system modifications, developing site-specific enhancements, manipulating data and reconfiguring systems
Ensures that all diagnostic information is logged for error resolution and incident analysis
Assists in taking corrective action to improve network performance and to avoid recurrence of the same problems, and maintains accurate log entries of contact with resolution details and follow-up information
Administers WAN and network services including monitoring LAN and WAN connections and bandwidth use, and analysing network traffic patterns volumes
Contributes to the production of schedules for managing mirror release to live infrastructure
Responds to simple enquiries on the status of new releases, using the release management database where appropriate
Carries out other duties as required
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
The selected candidates shall join VAM SYSTEMS – UAE and shall be deputed to one of the leading Organizations in UAE.
