Job Description
You will be in charge of planning and installing WINDOWS networks, systems, applications and IP PBXs at customers. Your tasks will include getting LAN/WAN, PC/server, VoIP and application installation requirements from the customer, developing the specifications for the PC/Servers, the LAN/WAN and the IP PBX, installing all the Microsoft software on the PCs and Servers, wiring the PCs, servers and phones, installing the LAN, the IP PBX, setting up the internet connection, the email clients and LAN users. You will have to discuss the specifications of a WAN with ISPs for internet access and VPNs. Troubleshooting as part of a maintenance plan will have to be performed.
You yourself will manage your projects and discuss them with your customers. In many cases, you will spend time with the customer especially for discussing their current and future requirements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following requirements:
Technical Experience
· At least two years experience with installing the following items:
· MS WIN 2005 server, 2008 server and MS Small Business Server 2008, MS IIS, MS SQL 2008, MS Exchange Server 2007
· MS Office Sharepoint Server 2007 or 2010
· MS Dynamics (Business) Solutions: CRM 4.0, (GP of interest)
· MS Windows XP, Vista Business and Windows 7

· SCSI or IDE HDUs, RAM, NICs, Controllers
· LAN HUBS/SWITCHES/Linksys routers/ Wireless LANs
· Wiring of PCs and servers to hubs/switches
Additional Desirable Experience
The following experience is an additional asset but is not required since this experience can be obtained on the job:
· Installation and set up of an IP PBX, and wiring of analog and IP phones
· HTML scripting
· MS Active Server Pages, MS Visual Basic and VB Script
· MS Visual Studio
A Microsoft Certification in Network and System Administration (MCSE or MCTS in servers) is preferred.
Communications Experience
· Good verbal communications skills: getting the customer requirements and present the planned architecture and specifications
· Good writing skills
Educational Background
· BS/MS in Computer Science, or pursuing such a degree, or proven equivalent experience
· MCSE or MCTS is preferred although not required
