Position Title: Sr. User Experience Designer
Location: Silicon Valley/San Jose, CA

We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven UX Designer with superior design skills, real-world experience solving complex interaction design problems, and a deep understanding of current innovations in user experience. In a nutshell, our ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with a true passion for innovation. As the owner of the overall design and user interaction model for our entire product line, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team to bring your designs to fruition and ensure successful launches of new products (and/or releases of new features).
Responsibilities:
- Apply user-centered design processes and exemplary conceptual, design, and production skills to create high-quality user experiences
- Create and produce the user interaction model, workflow diagrams, storyboards, information architecture, schematics, interface feature guidelines/specifications, and user interface images to illustrate application design concepts
- Work closely with product managers and developers to define product direction and UI requirements
Scope, plan, and manage multiple design projects from strategic product definition to launch
- Facilitate project communication and asset exchange across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
- Create functional interactive prototypes for user and market research
- Design and run user tests, analyze and present the results, and iterate
- Internally promote a user experience vision across multiple product lines
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience designing interactive web-based products with expert understanding of user experience and utility design principles and best practices, user research methodologies, web standards and trends, Agile methodology, and interactive prototyping/design
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements, specifications, and business processes and create elegant solutions
- Experience creating design deliverables to illustrate and communicate functional behavior to key stakeholders
- Successful track record negotiating conflict and persuading others on the merits of a user experience solution (or design) while working cross-functionally with creative, technology, strategy, and marketing teams
- Proven ability to assess, prioritize, and make design trade-offs against business, technical, and user constraints
- Strong foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS (HTML5 and CSS3 are a plus), with a good understanding of Javascript
- Good experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools (Visio, Protoshare, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- BA/BS or advanced degree preferred in Interaction Design or a related field (MS/MFA is a plus)
- Minimal travel required (< 10%)
