Product Test Engineer - Carlsbad, CA
Job Description
You will be responsible for production test system development and transfer, sustaining production testing and yield analysis/improvement and failure analysis. Specifically:
Production Test System Development & Transfer:
• Investigate/select a production test platform (tester, handler, probe-station, etc.) and test house for a new product (IC) with considerations over tester performance, cost, thru-put, availability/accessibility, and flexibility/scalability for existing/coming products.
• Work with System/IC design and Platform/Applications teams for developing test plans and characterizing/qualifying new products.
• Design and debug load board (DUT interface board) and probe-card for production test systems. Also create, debug, and keep upgrading test plans and test programs.
• Complete correlation analysis and adjustment between production ATE and test bench used for product verification & characterization.
• Qualify a newly developed/upgraded test system and transfer it to (oversea) production test houses.
Sustaining Production Testing:
• Improve yield and thru-put, and reduce production test cost.
• Debug/Upgrade production test systems (both H/W & S/W) during production.
Yield analysis/improvement and failure analysis:
• Monitor/Analyze product yield data, and facilitate yield enhancement.
• Analyze failed parts and identify a root cause by collaborating with IC, System, and Applications teams. Take ownership until closing.
Required Skills
• Knowledge on mixed-signal/digital IC test/characterization and application circuit/PCB design. Additional knowledge on RF IC test/characterization is strong plus.
• Knowledge on TV tuner/demodulator IC are strong plus.
• Good communication, documentation, and data analysis skills.
• MSEE required
