Detailed Description
As a Senior RF Electronic Design Engineer, you will design, modify and evaluate electronic products and testers for use in rugged environments to meet quality, delivery and cost goals. In addition you will:
• Design new RF based products and testers that meet customer, reliability and quality requirements with the involvement of manufacturing/mechanical/software engineers and supply management.
• Perform worst case RF and mixed signal design analysis, simulations, and design verification to ensure electronic assemblies meet the requirements of harsh environments for the vehicle applications.
• Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results, including electromagnetic compliance (EMC), electromagnetic immunity (EMI), highly accelerated life test (HALT) as well as various electrical & environmental tests.
• Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally you will have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with RF emphasis. In addition we require:
• 5+ years of commercial design and test experience related to RF electronic equipment and electronic hardware systems.
• Experience and skill in the areas of RF design and analysis up to 6 GHz frequency spread spectrum wireless communication and signal processing.
A strong candidate will also have:
• a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with RF emphasis
• experience and skill in satellite communications, GPS receiver system-level design, GPS signal processing & navigation, RF design, embedded microcontroller systems and real-time embedded software.
• practical experience testing RF designs in a manufacturing environment
• experience with National Instruments LabView and AWR Microwave Office is also beneficial
