Primary Function
Incumbent will test, debug, and modify new and existing databases from detailed specifications while conforming to existing guidelines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain SQL 2000/SQL 2005 relational databases with SQL Reporting Interface.
• Builds and architects data and object models for applications and servers.
• Gather user requirements and create the standard documents for full lifecycle SDLC.
Minimum Requirements
• Experience in SQL Server & Oracle Database Administration, with knowledge in Database Design-Physical & Logical, Tuning of Database, Memory Sizing, Backup & Recovery Strategies.
• Knowledge in VERITAS Net backup, TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) Backup, Implementing Backups using RMAN and maintenance of recovery catalog.
• Experience in Data Modeling, ETL process, SSIS packages & DTS
• Previous cable experience is a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience with full SDLC software projects is a plus.
• 4 year degree from an accredited university.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
