Business Analyst
We are looking for a candidate for a long term contracting opportunity in Northern, NJ. Candidate must have extremely strong experience with all phases of the SDLC, planning, requirements, etc. This person will also meet with stakeholders, gather requirements, communicate with developers, present well and can meet and influence upper management.
Business Analyst
Candidate ideally, will have no less than 3-5 years of recent hands-on experience in each of the SDLC phases to include but not limited to: Planning, Analysis, Requirement, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment. Candidate ideally will have the ability to ramp up quickly and or be able to self study on unfamiliar technologies and be able to produce quality deliverables for both technical and user staff
-3+ years of experience in interfacing with various layers of an IT organization for purposes of eliciting/documenting requirements, requirements traceability and project support
- Must have 4+ years of use case development experience
- Preferably 4+ years of iterative process experience on multiple projects
- Creation as well as execution of use cases is strongly preferred along with relative proficiency in software quality assurance as well as technical writing efforts
- Experience in gathering various types of requirements including data, functional, business and technical
-Knowledge of the SDLC, Project Management best practices
-Understanding of industry IT Governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, SOX/JSOX
- Participation and/or leadership in requirements sessions (i.e.: JAD sessions) is strong preferred
- Strong business acumen to determine, define and document/map system specifications as well as process improvements is strongly preferred
- Strong skills in analysis, problem solving, communication, documentation and critical thinking
-Experienced at creating Visio workflow diagrams from interviews with Subject Matter Experience. .
-Exposure to using Lotus Notes for e-mail a plus.
-Working knowledge of Business Intelligence i.e. metrics, performance reporting, dashboards, data warehousing, data cubes etc
