Team Lead, BIS Administration Development
Research In Motion (RIM)
Location: Bellevue, WA
POSITION SUMMARY
The Team Lead role is a first level management position responsible for all aspects of developing new versions of Enterprise software. The role requires people, project and process management skills as applied to development activities. Responsibilities on this position include: managing everyday needs of the development team; working with project management in planning testing activities for milestones and releases; working closely with test team in analyzing and investigating new features and issues; planning, scheduling and assigning tasks in the team; monitoring work progress, identifying and resolving issues, reporting progress status; performing individual and collective training and mentoring; attending or running required meetings; supporting and improving existing work processes and standards.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years development experience Java/C++
• 5+ years development experience in an n-tier architecture, OO design, and design patterns
• 2+ years experience in Web Services (SOAP, XML, WSDL, JAX-RPC)
• 2+ years experience in a technical team lead type role
• Experience with Struts, Spring and/or similar frameworks a plus
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with extensive experience in writing design documents
• Strong, proven individual and team performer
• Strong team player with proven coaching and mentoring abilities.
