QA Lead (Central NJ)
We are seeking a QA Lead, for a long term contract assignment, who is passionate about technology, user experience and the web. A successful candidate will work with our experienced team in a highly goal and team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
• Execute automated tests for websites and web applications.
• Develop detailed test cases, test plans and test strategies.
• Thoroughly test the product through all phases of development life cycle (functional, regression/integration and performance testing) using a combination of testing methods.
• Actively participate in establishing project plans, estimating work and monitoring progress against milestones.
• Interact with developers during appropriate stages of projects
• Communicate and coordinate testing with offshore and local teams
• Work closely with cross functional team members throughout the Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC)
• Contribute to product and process improvements and refinement of QA practices.
• Handle multiple tasks effectively and communicate well. Demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Contribute to the implementation of automation principles with the QA team, define best practices, lead the adoption of technologies and tools that drive efficiencies throughout the team.
Qualifications:
• 8+ years of QA experience
• Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies
• Experience with test plan preparation, functional testing.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Java, JavaScript, PHP/MySQL and Perl.
• Experience with automation tools a plus (e.g. JUnit, Silk Test, Selenium, etc.)
• Experience testing websites and web applications.
• Knowledge of Klopotek interface is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with testing tools for application performance, test plan design and coverage tracking.
• Ability to switch easily between different projects and flexibility to handle a rapidly changing environment.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision
• Ability to work under continual deadlines and constraints
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a team player.
