Headway Corporate Resources has an immediate need for an Industrial Engineer to work with our client in Newbury Park, CA! This 6-month contract offers an immediate start date PLUS the opportunity to work with an industry leader!
In this role, you will be responsible for performing time studies for various manufacturing processes and establish standards; create/revise internal detailed manufacturing drawings for fasteners; drive and coordinate capital expenditure projects.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
1. Drive client facility's capital expenditure projects.
2. Create models in Solidworks for all product configurations based on customer drawings.
3. Establish a parametric drawing system utilizing solid models and generate individual manufacturing drawings.
4. Coordinate and maintain the approval process for all internal & external drawings.
5. Coordinate with all functions to maintain the client’s document control system.
6. Create and revise tooling drawings for manufacturing in AutoCAD / Solidworks.
7. Create and revise overlay charts for manufacturing in AutoCAD / Solidworks.
8. Create/revise client facility layout drawings.
9. Perform special technical projects.
10.Other tasks as assigned by senior management
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering along with the following:
1. 3-5 years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
2. Proficiency in Solid Works & AutoCAD.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints & drawings.
4. Knowledge of ANSI standards and drawing practices.
5. Essential knowledge of machine shop equipment, tools, and processes.
6. Strong technical and analytical skills.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
