Sr. Technical Manager- Detroit, MI
This position manages the maintenance of plant equipment, facilities, and coordinates the daily job functions of Technical Supervisors and technical personnel to assure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Coordinate work activities of installation and service.
• Indirect support of line and maintenance work activities.
• Ensure competence and continuity of qualified installation, service, and maintenance through optimum selection, training, development, appraisal, and motivation techniques.
• Provide highest quality video/audio output to subscribers through the effective direction of in-house and contracted installation, service, and overall technical functions.
• Consult with vendors on equipment problems.
• Order repair parts.
• Maintain records and drawings on all equipment.
• Manage, train, and develop the requisite number of technical support personnel.
• Assure FCC compliance in all areas; maintain federal, state, and company required records and reports.
• Keep management informed of all issues affecting technical operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree and two to five years related experience preferred or four to seven years related work experience required.
• Previous management experience required.
• This position requires a valid driver's license in good standing.
