Detailed Description
The position is a key technical contributor in developing our 10GBASE-T Ethernet chip. The position's primary focus is to develop the DSP control firmware in C. The position requires a demonstration of theoretical background in digital signal processing and communications, and the ability to apply technology to real world problems. The candidate must be an expert in developing an industrial-grade firmware and very efficient in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related with at least 5 years of experience.
- Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in developing embedded programming for hardware control.
- Candidate must also be very familiar with C/C++ programming with very good knowledge of at least one scripting language.
- Experience in developing automation for firmware regression is a plus.
- Experience and/or coursework in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and digital communication theory: adaptive filtering, equalization, echo-cancellation, channel coding, timing recovery, etc.
- Experience in chip bring-up and debug in the lab, and familiarity with hardware implementation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Verilog is also a plus
- Background in high-speed wire-line communication systems, particularly Gigabit Ethernet, is also highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required as is the ability to work well in a team.
