Role : Senior Financial Business Analyst
Location: New Jersey
Duration: 6 Months +
Sector: Financial Services
Core Skills:
-10 years of BA work supporting Finance
Good overall knowledge of Finance roles within Investment Banks (either Product Control or Financial Control), with an understanding of what the processes in each are.
Project experience in implementation of a Finance system
Strong PC skills and good understanding of computer systems generally.
Organised and methodical approach coupled with an understanding of project methodologies
Broad knowledge of banking products
Broad knowledge of technical processes – must have interfaced with technology groups and IT implementations
Numerate, able to work with spreadsheets and perform financial analysis
Good communication skills – ability to bridge the gap across various disciplinary areas (Ops; Line; IT).
Familiarity with MS Project and Project Planning & Control
Solid knowledge of IT: managing IT-oriented projects, users requirements / testing. Understanding of IT oriented methods and approach
Good interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills - able to influence without authority and commands respect through actions
Self motivated and self directed, and able to solve problems with a minimal amount of guidance
Strong commercial focus - sensitive to business needs and requirements but is solution orientated
Extremely strong organisational skills
Ability to understand the detail but also able to take a big picture approach
Strong communications skills at all levels

Additional Preferred Experience /Skills:
8-10 years of product control experience; ideally w/ expertise in p/l production; P/L Attribution and/or knowledge of Funding

Strong Project Management Experience
Detailed product knowledge of banking products
Current state analysis of subledgers; GL; accounting rules and events and product – IMPACT/Broadridge preferred
Detailed knowledge of technical processes – must have interfaced with technology groups and IT implementation
Familiarity with MS Project and Project Planning & Control
Track record in doing current states, and Gap analysis to Target States.
Proven expertise in writing a Business Requirement doc with associated process/ trade flows.
Experience of IT development lifecycles
Experience as a Business Analysis Manager
Experience as a Test Manager
Experience as a Migration Manager
Knowledge of PRINCE2 or other formal methods (PMP; Six Sigma)
