Location: Hauppauge, NY
Duration: 2+ Weeks with extension till April 2010.
Start Date: 02/08/2010
Work Hrs: M - F; 8 AM - 5 PM.
Details:
• Perform Hardware Deployment utilizing supplied documentation and tools
o Deliver the new hardware systems to end-users
o Login as the end-user
o Configure Microsoft Outlook
o Fix screen saver timeout
o Set proxy and homepage
o Insure that end-users backup data
o Copy/transfer Favorites (bookmarks) and other designated files to new hardware systems
o Install network or local end-user printers
o Test the hardware systems after deployment in accordance with the supplied documentation and
o Inventory new hardware systems, record information to Excel file (asset number, machine name, make, model, etc.) and return Excel file to Project Tech Lead
o Package new hardware systems for deployment
A+ certification required; minimum 2-years of experience in Hardware Image Installation in large corporate environment with the following technical disciplines:
• Experience in applying workstation build and deployment with Windows XP installation and configuration in RAM for Editorial devices
• Experienced in workstation data migration and data cleansing tools/techniques
• Knowledge imaging Dell E4300/E6400 laptops and Dell Optiplex 760 desktops working from WinPE bootable media
• Experience in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and understands UNC connectivity relationship between workstation and servers
• Experience working with Radia and migrating profiles
• Experience with Kobra display template, Dell Control Point Connection Manager, Acrobat 9.0 Reader, IE7, Ghost32, DOS
• Knowledge of ERAS installation, Trend 8 Client, VPN software, iPassConnect, iPass Hotspot Finder, FW Firewall Control, 3000 Xtra, RAM SINK/DBUs, Decade
• Candidates should have excellent follow through, customer service skills, strong work ethic, results oriented and be able to work independently as well as within a team
• Fluent in English – excellent verbal and written communication; will have direct contact with end-user
