Duties/Responsibilities
The SAP Business Analyst will work directly with business unit personnel with minimal guidance. This senior-level analyst plays a key role in establishing end-user requirements and configuration setting for application systems, primarily SAP. This individual is responsible for developing very strong working relationships with end-user organizations and is the end users' lead representative on financial technology issues. The analyst must have a thorough understanding of SAP’s configuration options and system development. Project management and enhancement estimation experience is a plus. This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and at least five years experience in the information technology field, with at least four years in business analysis or a programming role working on successful SAP installations.
Some specific tasks that will be required include:
1. Perform analyses, design, configuration and testing of all aspects of the FICO module within SAP. This includes day to day support issues as well as long term, project based, new initiatives.
2. Provide all necessary support and assistance within the Business Solutions Group for all legacy Finance systems.
3. Perform all necessary efforts required to complete Acquisition projects on short notice as necessary.
4. Manage and drive specific IT initiatives from design thru go-live.
5. Assist with mentoring of less experienced team members.
6. Maintain and report the progress and status of all FICO related issues to IT Management on a regular basis.
7. Maintain all functional specifications and supporting documentation as required by the Business Solutions Group standards.
8. Ensure JSOX compliance is maintained and assist with regulatory compliance issues as needed.
9. Perform end user training as well as internal cross training to other team members as necessary.
10. Provide on-call production support as needed.
11. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Qualifications/Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of 5-10 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years experience working in an SAP environment.
• Experience in a Project Management capacity related to major IT initiatives.
• Strong financial business experience required
• Experience with at least 3 successful SAP FICO implementations.
• Excellent customer services orientation and experience in business-related interactions
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and use a facilitative style to gather information for decision making
• Experience with participating in workshops for establishing requirements, process analysis and re-engineering
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. PowerPoint and Visio would be a plus.
