EZ Search Services, Inc. has a client based just north of West Palm Beach Fl which is seeking to hire a Technical Support Manager on a direct basis. • Direct and monitor the activities of assigned Tool Design/Manufacture Coordination, NC Programming, Modeling, CMM Programming personnel, as well as the operations and personnel assigned.
• Oversee and maintain the Manufacturing Process Control (MPC) program in accordance with the coordinator’s outlined responsibilities in our Quality Procedures.
• Manage, assign ownership to and review all submitted process improvement ideas through our BEST program and ensure that all requests are promptly evaluated, responded to, and compensation checks are completed as required.
• Interact with all assigned MPC leaders to ensure a best practice approach to tool design concepts are being utilized and generate acceptable CP/CPK values throughout our facility resulting in the attainment of a product which meets all customer requirements (quality and delivery) as well as internal goals (ease of manufacture and profitability).
• Champion our efforts to sustain and grow a Six Sigma program which systematically attacks recurring non-conformances driving up our cost of quality via internal scrap and rework and/or preventing acceptable product to our customer specs.
• Investigate and recommend machine tool and equipment needs to accomplish or improve the required manufacturing process capabilities or capacity.
• Supply each Business Unit with data on a monthly basis pertaining to the company’s NMR, scrap, and rework performance levels. Use this information to generate and maintain active Six Sigma projects resulting in continuous improvement.
• Visit supplier plants as required to assure that the supplier manufacturing process meets or exceeds all company and customer requirements (delivery and quality). Assure that the supplier manufacturing process will produce technical product in the required quantity and in accordance with the product delivery schedule.
• Develop, maintain, and update related training materials.
• Perform duties/responsibilities related to this position as assigned by the Director of Operations.
• Carry out the required implementation/training of new quality system and engineering best practices/SOP changes as they are integrated into our organization.
• Maintain an active awareness and accuracy of our work instructions.
• Oversee the training of all personnel relative to our Opcert program and ensure that process routers are generated in accordance with associated requirements.
• Assist in shop floor personnel training as applicable and deemed necessary.
• Develop market awareness and promote company visibility efforts.
• Must support all EH & S (Environmental, Health & Safety) requirements within the facility and improve ergonomics of associated tooling relative to each process.
• Develop and foster a team environment.
• Participate in and ensure proper communications are provided to our customers relating to quality concerns and product escapes.
• Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technology within the company core process.
• Requires independent judgment in making decisions that have economic impact to the company.
• Requires decisions that impact of hiring and terminating employees.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
B.S. Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience in a related field. Has the requisite computer skills and is familiar with Lean Manufacturing, 6 sigma, complex technical product knowledge, and demonstrated leadership experience.
