Chenega Federal Systems (CFS) is an 8(a) Alaska Native-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business based in Lorton, Virginia. CFS is a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation formed under the laws of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA).

CFS is a fully cleared, professional services provider focusing in the Defense, Intelligence and Advanced Technology sectors of the federal government. Our corporate headquarters is located in Anchorage, Alaska; our line operations are managed from our office in Lorton, Virginia. We currently have facilities and personnel at multiple locations in Northern Virginia and Norfolk, Virginia, as well as offices in six states plus Asia, Europe, Caribbean, Latin America and the Middle East.

Since beginning operations in spring of 2005, CFS has been growing at a phenomenal rate. In April 2005 we had 3 employees; by the end of the calendar year for 2008, CFS had over 450 employees with continued aggressive growth projected over the course of the coming fiscal year. Revenues for the fiscal years of 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 have risen from approximately $1M, to $34M, to $58M, to $126M, to projected revenue of $180M for FY2009. In order to manage this aggressive growth rate, CFS has secured a substantial line of credit from the National Bank of Alaska (Wells Fargo), which ensures our ability to meet our financial requirements and support continued rapid growth.

CFS has a full professional staff to support corporate operations in the following areas finance; contracts management; security management; human resources; and network support. We utilize the CostPoint ® software application for financial reporting and contracts management.

CFS will capitalize on our parent corporation’s extensive experience and exposure to the various Department of Defense organizations, as well as other federal agencies as a springboard to utilize the benefits and advantages afforded to us under the SBA 8(a) program. Summary Responsible for comprehensive analysis of program requirements, Design/performance requirements allocation and validation of all facets of mission suitability and support. Responsible for the performing technical tasks, accomplishing engineering and analytical assessments and ensuring the quality and content of technical products and providing expert decision support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

1. Provide support for C4 communications and network engineering development.

2. Plan and execute C4 related experiments or LTAs for specified experimental systems.

3. Develop recommendations for network engineering and integrated communications solutions in accordance with specified projects and assignments.

4. Develop recommendations for wireless solutions in accordance with evolving doctrine and USMC standards in logistics management for assigned C4 projects.

5. Scan all contractual documents that come in hard copy form and email to proper persons in corporate and in Anchorage.

6. Assist in coordinating experimental C4 equipment training with designated Operating Forces units and personnel.

7. Assist in developing and implementing assigned projects in addition to the tasks listed.

8. Other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Supervision May provide specific task direction to staff but does not have formal supervisory responsibility.

Education and/or Experience - Graduate Degree with 5 years or Bachelor's degree with 9 years of progressive technical experience; to include Communications and network technology watch; and Wireless connectivity and network engineering knowledge and experience.

Computer Skills - Must have MS Office and intermediate computer skills. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge and understanding of Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations at the Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Marine Expeditionary Battalion (MEB) and Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) level.

• Knowledge of legacy USMC Communications equipment. • Knowledge of Communications integration planning. • Knowledge of LTA test and assessment process and procedures. • Ability to be deployed in the field throughout the world, with little or no notice

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance: Secret or ability to obtain a clearance is desirable
