This position will participate and manage IHS environmental solutions engagements through the entire project lifecycle. These engagements include enterprise solution planning design, configuration, integration, testing, customer acceptance and use. Although IHS works with implementation partners, the engagement will address complex issues and application of best practices methods and technical that supplement and extend partners capabilities. The end product is geared to customer success and enhanced, sustainable customer relationships.
General Job Duties:
• Develop deep and comprehensive understanding of IHS environmental products serving as a external and internal source of product knowledge
• Oversee multi-phase, projects from inception to conclusion that meet contractual deliverables timelines, with high quality and within budget
• Work with customers, partners, and team members to configure deliver and deploy environmental solutions that meet high customer satisfaction standards
• Develop new, cutting edge solutions addressing customer needs that can be captured and maintained as IHS intellectual property
• Develop timeline estimates, resource requirements and detailed project plans
Specific Job Duties:
• Participate in customer implementation workshops to scope implementation projects
• Support solutions project proposal preparation
• Help prepare and manage project work scopes, tasks, and schedule
• Ensure delivery of contractual commitments
• Develop solution architecture and configuration designs
• Configure solutions and support systems integration
• Work with implementation partners to assure that best practices are applied
• Regularly communicate project status with customers, management and partners
• Identify and resolve implementation issues and problems in a timely manner
• Prepare implementation documentation and training materials
• Provide consulting support customers and partners to address functional and technical concerns
• Develop new solutions methods, techniques and capabilities using the opsInfo software platform and tools
• Facilitate the capture, refinement, and commercialization of intellectual property obtained through customer engagements
• Drive awareness of our services to the Field Sales team by partnering and collaborating with sales executives, account managers, customer managers and other account team members.
Required Education:
• B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Engineering or Computer Science. Industry Certifications such as MCSE, CISSP a plus.
Required Experience:
• Understanding of and experience with industrial and manufacturing processes
• Minimum of 5+ years working experience in Consulting, Training, Architecting, Design, Deployment and/or support of software-related products and services.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft technology with some development background, e.g., C++,C# / ASP.NET / Web Services / SQL Server (MCAD)
• DBA experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience creating complex SQL & PL/SQL stored procedures, for augmented and customized functionalities consistent with efficient application performance best practices
• Interest, experience and commitment to environmental domain highly desired
Physical Requirements:
• 50-75% Travel
• Must be able to attend the work location during normal business hours and be on-site to engage in personal interaction with others and as part of a team.
• Occasional moderate job stress due to deadlines, downtime and number of escalated issues from customers, partners, and internal functional areas.
