Job Description:

ITs a network Logo
 Client needs someone to work with the installation and deployment of VMWare ESX and additions features.

This will include installation of three cluster servers, a Virtual Center Server all using iSCSI storage.



We will want consultant to be working here on campus full time. We would like the candidates to be local and not have to travel.



1. Experience in being a consultant, they are capable of:

a. Working independently and a self motivator

b. Capable or reporting status and working with PM and Sponsors on deliverables and escalating issues

c. Capable of interview business and technical level staff and collect requirements

d. Able to document and present solutions that have pros and cons and not bias on one solution (does not have to final documentation but needs to be more then text file and should be presentable)

2. Technical abilities

a. Experience is deploying ESX (current version)

i. Clusters

ii. VMotion

iii. Past environments must have been at least 100+ virtual servers

iv. One Physical to Virtual moves (plus to have)

b. Understand and have done systems administrations in the past (Windows or Unix)

c. Knows about Load balancing and firewalls

d. Understands networking concepts likes Trunking, VLANs and Ether channel

e. Ability to learn new features and options within the virtual technology arena and specifically from VMWare. They do not need to know all the products inside out but could in a very short time.
