Headway Corporate Resources seeking experienced Operate Manager for great direct-hire opportunity in New York, NY!
As the Operate Manager, you will work in the Data and Transaction Services group of our client, assuming responsibility for two major areas of services delivery (Production Support - level 1 (technology) and level 2 (user/business)) for a variety of applications related to sourcing and distribution of Security master Analytics and Transaction/Position Data. You will also be responsible for the overall scoping, planning, build-out and delivery of business-as-usual (BAU) concept, which involves the release of a combination of enhancements and defect-corrections to existing applications on a monthly basis. Larger development initiatives will be in scope for BAU releases over time. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a needed basis.
Requirements:
College degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, Engineering or other technical discipline
5+ years experience as an Operate Manager, with responsibility for Level 1 (technology) and Level 2 (user/business) support, as well as an Application Delivery manager. Experience developing and managing Fixed Income-related applications required. Subject matter expertise in Fixed Income Securities products (Corporates, Munis, ABS/MBS, Interest rate and credit swaps) required.
Must possess strong project management and relationship management skills and ability to manage a team through organizational change
Must have multi-disciplined technology skills: OS: (Unix/Windows/Linux), Database (Oracle/Sybase) and programming languages (C/.NET/Java)
Experience managing onshore and offshore developers
Good understanding of portfolio management and analysis, compliance and Risk Monitoring systems
Experience with Security reference data, fixed income risk measures and benchmark analytics management and distribution
Knowledge of Equities or Derivatives product area
Experience working with the following business applications: Compliance (Sentinel or Charles River), Performance Measurements and Attribution; Experience working on the following types of Technology projects: Data Acquisition/transformation, data warehousing, software re-engineering
