Responsibilities:
Conduct testing, including coordinating and allocating testing resources across the development portfolio.
· Provide management oversight as well as provide approval for testing activities and deliverables.
· Evaluate testing metrics across projects. Identify opportunities where additional metrics will improve the testing process as well as the ultimate application development product quality.
· Leverage the testing efforts for similar projects within the program and across programs.
· Manage tools to support the organization’s requirements.
· Train and develop testing resources, both from process and business context purposes.
· Evaluate testing management processes for improvement opportunities on a continual basis
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of compute science, or a related engineering discipline.
· Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in information systems functions.
· Highly self motivated and self-directed. Keen attention to detail.
· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must have the ability to differentiate needs from wants as well as identify implicit requirements from the testing efforts. Must also have the ability to successfully evaluate and support the development portfolio efforts and testing metrics.
· Caliber RM, Provision and Test Director experience preferred.
· General knowledge of web-based application development including .Net2.0, IE 6.0 and 7.0, Visual Studio 2003 and 2005, and SQL 2005.
· Strong Management Skills
· Interviewing and elicitation skills to communicate with stakeholder groups and obtain essential test plan information.
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
· Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
· Knowledge of application/business domain is desirable.
· Understanding of software development methodologies and how the testing and requirements development and management practices support them
· Written communication skills to effectively and unambiguously document the test plan and test case specifications and test reports.
· Modeling skills to represent requirements visually and confirm understanding of these requirements.
· Ability to learn and utilize new concepts and technologies.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate test planning and execution workshops as well as broker negotiations.
· Customer services orientation with strong listening skills to successfully understand the needs of the stakeholders and influence open communication.
