Job Description:
• As a member of the SAP project team, you will be working within SAP database team, in on-going production support and new release functions. To administer and document UDB database processing in support of database availability, performance, and recovery strategies.
Detailed responsibilities include:
• Support for UDB backups/restores
• Support Timefinder/Clone backups
• Develop processes around MPP configuration
• Performance analysis/optimization of UDB/SAP
• Database storage layout optimization
• Develop scripts for ad hoc requirements
• Capacity planning responsibilities
• Use of database tools such as IBM PE
• SAP knowledge
• ABAP knowledge a plus
Projects Impacted: Production Support, AMEA, CFI Releases, COSMOS, and many other SAP projects
Education Requirements:
• High school diploma required.
• College or Technical schooling in the Computer field.
• Related UDB training.
• SAP training a plus.
• Technology Certification.
Experience REQUIREMENTS:
• Five plus years experience in IT with three plus years of technical UDB administration responsibility for an SAP ERP environment.
Other:
• No travel
• Weekend work and overtime required based on project schedule or production issues
• Requires to support rotating on-call schedule
• End Date of Contract: 12-31-2008 (almost 9 months contract)
